StarStruck Dance Studio was founded in 2007 by Monica Struck. Born in Stirling, NJ, Monica began dancing at a very young age and knew then that her passion in life was to open her own dance studio and share her love and talent for dance with other young girls in her hometown.

Monica began taking gymnastics lessons at Feigley's in South Plainfield, NJ, where she became a member of the nationally ranked "Bridgettes" Gymnastic Team. She continued with gymnastics throughout her high school years, competing in many regional and national meets as a member of Rettig's Gymnastics team in Cedar Knolls, NJ. After high school, she decided to pursue a career in dance and was accepted into the dance program at Montclair State University.

Monica graduated from Montclair State, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance. During her years at Montclair, she was a member of the MSU Repertory Company performing in many yearly productions. She worked with many well-known choreographers and also performed at the American College Dance Festival.  

As SDNJ enters its 16th year, we are honored to carry on her legacy and offer the gift of dance to so many young, talented students in Morris, Somerset and Union Counties.
