Starstruck Dance Company
To schedule your audition for the 2023-2024 Company, please email the studio (info@starstruckdance.net).  
 
We offer our students a special opportunity to showcase their talents and gain confidence and self-discipline by being part of a competitive dance company. Starstruck's Company has received numerous accolades for strong technique and top choreography at regional and national events. 
 
Each Spring, auditions will be held to join our Company. Dancers will be chosen based on specific technique and performance requirements. This commitment requires many hours of weekly training in various genres of dance. Our goal is to encourage dancers to be well-rounded, so they can improve at an accelerated pace and reach the next level in their competitive, collegiate, and pre-professional training.

2020-21 National ADCC Studio of Excellence 
Beyond the Stars, Cape May, NJ

We are so honored to receive the 2020-2021 National ADCC Studio of Excellence Award at BTS Nationals. This award is given to a studio that exemplifies the ADCC mission of promoting quality, integrity, and opportunity in the dance competition and convention industry. This means so much to us and truly represents the culture and atmosphere SDNJ strives to promote from our students and teachers to all of the families that are a part of our program. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our entire dance family on this outstanding achievement!

Our dancers did not lose speed as the year continued through the pandemic. They worked virtually with both their SDNJ instructors as well as 15 esteemed guest teachers/choreographers from across the country. They brought their season to a close with a virtual competition as well as an outdoor showcase.

At On Point Competition, Starstruck was honored to receive the "Powerhouse Award" for highest scoring studio of the event.

At Dance Xplosion Regionals, Starstruck was awarded many top placements and the Excellence in Lyrical Award. 

We were also thrilled to receive both Excalibur Awards in the Xtreme division for highest scoring 12 and under and 13 and over pieces along with the following 1st overall placements:

NATIONAL FINALS 2019
Beyond the Stars, Poconos, PA

We are so proud of our dancers performances at Nationals 2019! Our Junior Company brought home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall with "Play That Sax", "Heroes", and "Come Fly With Me." "Play That Sax" was invited to re-compete in the Ultimate Challenge, and our dancers placed 2nd in the Challenge out of all of the 12 and under small groups, large, groups, lines, and production finalists combined. Our "MJ" and "Carry You" dancers earned 2nd and 4th overall out of all duo/trios in their division. 

Our Teen and Senior Companies earned all Diamond and Platinum Awards in their Large Group divisions and placed 2nd, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th overall at the National level. A special congratulations to "A Laughing Matter", "Charges From the Sky", and "When the Party's Over" on being selected as National Finalists with an invitation to perform in the Ultimate Challenge. 

Congratulations to Kelly B. on earning 1st place National Champion with her solo "Scars." Jack and Angela earned 5th overall out of all duos and trios in their division. Shourya K. placed 5th overall for his solo "Forget You" and was named 12 and under Champion from his performance in the Hip-Hop Battle.  Annalina X. earned a Diamond award and 3rd overall for her solo, "Bring Me a Dream." Jack P. earned the National Title of Mr. Dance Xplosion for his performance of his solo "Feeling Good" and scores in the title class and title pageant. 
 
The dancers’ and their instructors' hard work throughout the year is very evident, and we are so proud of how well our stars performed together on stage. They are truly shining examples of dedication and commitment to the art of dance.
Starstruck's 2018 New York City Performance

Starstruck's Company performed at Symphony Space Theatre in NYC at the start of their 2018 competition season. They performed three pieces choreographed by Artistic Director, Nancina Bucci, and Lead Instructor, Gina Montalto. 

Out of four awards given at the close of the performance, Starstruck was honored to receive both the "Best Choreography" for their piece "The Last Leaf" and "Technique" award for "Gladiators" from acclaimed choreographers Bo Park and Kelly Peters. The dancers had a wonderful experience, and we are so proud of their stunning performances!
UDMA Costume and Dance Expo 
Starstruck's dancers had the opportunity to model at the 2018 UDMA costume and dance convention. The dancers had an amazing experience working with Weissman Costumes.
