Long Hill Dance-A-Thon
Our Starstruck dancers had a wonderful day performing and leading a Dance-a-Thon to help stomp out Pediatric Cancer. Our dancers were so happy to meet cancer survivor and Presidential State of the Union guest, Grace Eline. She was truly an inspiration and we couldn't have asked for a better way to end such an amazing day than by celebrating Grace's birthday. Starstruck was honored to help raise over $6,000 for The Valerie Fund through this event.
Holiday Party
Our competitive company finished out 2018 by coming together to celebrate the holidays. They exchanged gifts with their older and younger team buddies, and had a lot of fun dancing, eating, and bonding as a team before heading into competition season.
Pictures With Santa
Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Santa's elves came to visit Starstruck this December! Dancers and their families came to take photos, decorated them at our Polaroid station, and donated to a good cause. Attendees raised over $400 during this event. 100% of the proceeds will go to the All Hands and Hearts organization, which was selected by Meredith M in collaboration with her concept piece this season. Message from Our Director -
I’d like to take a moment to welcome all of our students to the 2020-21 dance season and share my teaching philosophy! I know many of our young dancers may be feeling a bit nervous about starting classes, and I’d like to ensure you that our studio will be a safe and friendly place for them to learn.
My teaching philosophy is to see my students as individuals and implement their training in ways that directly incorporate their learning style, interests, and rate of progression. It is my goal to create an atmosphere where my students feel open to ask questions, since this is a crucial way to thrive as a dancer. I want to initiate a communal bond of trust and respect in the studio, not only amongst the students, but also between each student and myself. This will allow me to observe and foster their advancement on an individual basis, which is especially critical in an art form that requires immediate feedback in a group setting. Getting to know your children and building on their strengths is extremely important to me, as well as challenging them to push past their comfort zones.
At Starstruck, we have been fortunate to win many regional and national awards and have been recognized as a studio that focuses on technical excellence. But our goal is not to win every competition. Instead, we focus on every dancer’s personal growth, and we applaud their good sportsmanship, respect, and support of their peers. We take pride in sharing our knowledge, experience, and love of dance, helping to mold individuals who develop an equally powerful passion for their art.

Please feel free to reach out to me at any time. I look forward to an exciting and successful dance season!
