Company Audition Information
Each Spring, auditions are held to join our Competitive Dance Company (ages 5-18). Dancers will be chosen based on specific technique and performance requirements. All company members must re-audition each year and will be evaluated for level placement. This commitment requires many hours of weekly training in various genres of dance. Our goal is to encourage dancers to be well-rounded, so they can improve at an accelerated pace and reach the next level in their aspiring competitive, collegiate, and pre-professional training.

Audition Instructions
Dancers should arrive at auditions dressed for ballet in tights and a leotard (pink, black, or skin-tone tights is acceptable for the audition). Dancers may bring shorts or leggings to layer over their leotard after the ballet portion of the audition ends. Please see our dress code for additional information on class attire.

Dancers should bring the following shoes for company auditions: Ballet, tap, jazz. If dancers do not have shoes or experience in a given style, they should not feel discouraged and continue through each portion of the audition in ballet or jazz shoes. Our company dancers are required to compete in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and tap and train in all of these styles weekly in addition to their ballet and technique classes. If your dancer does not have experience in tap, he/she can still make the team if they are strong in other areas, but he/she may be asked to take private lessons or placed in a tap technique class to catch up in that style.

Dancers ages 7-18 may audition for a solo. When registration becomes available, please reserve a time slot and arrive with a 30 second-1 minute solo prepared in the desired style. *Please provide music or an accessible link to the song of choice.

If you have any questions, please call or email the studio.
